Terms & Conditions

  • A non refundable booking fee deposit of £250 is required to secure your wedding date. Until this is paid I cannot guarantee your date. 
     

  • I am happy to travel and I do not charge for the first 20 miles of HU15, however after that a fee of 45p per mile will be charged.
    I will also require accommodation if your wedding venue exceeds 60 miles of HU15 for the night before the wedding and occasionally the night of the wedding. 

     

  • I aim to deliver the Final Images from your wedding day to you between 6-20 weeks from your wedding date.

Terms of agreement:


Photographer obligations:

1. To provide a ‘pre-wedding consultation’ session whereby the client’s subjective preferences and expectations are discussed.
2. To attend the agreed venue at the above stated start time and to provide photography services until the above stated end time. Occasionally the Photographer may not need to stay until the stated end time as outlined above, this would be agreed between both parties prior to leaving the event.
3. To endeavor to take photographs of events, locations, and arrangements in line with the Clients subjective preferences and expectations. NB the Photographer is not responsible for the organization of clients on the day and will not be held responsible for preferences and expectations that are not met.
4. If the Photographer is too ill or becomes injured and cannot supply services specified in this contract, the Photographer will take reasonable steps to book a replacement professional photographer of a similar skills level. If a replacement photographer cannot be found, then liability is limited to a refund of any payments received.
5. To take photographs using x1 Canon R6 and x1 Canon 5D Mark IV. If for any reason this equipment becomes unavailable on the day, the photographer is obliged to try and find a reasonable alternative of equal quality.
6. To operate working methods to prevent loss or damage to the Clients images. However, there is the unlikely possibility that images may be lost, stolen or destroyed for reasons in or beyond the Photographers control. In these circumstances liability is limited to the return of fees paid for the service or part thereof according to the percentage of images supplied.
7. The Photographer keeps the copyright of all photographs and hereby issues the Client unlimited but non-exclusive rights to use or reproduce the purchased photographs. Sale, publication, marketing or any commercial use of the photographs is not allowed without prior written permission from the Photographer.
8. To endeavor to deliver edited photographs to the Client within 24 weeks of the wedding date in the form of a USB (if previously agreed) or via online viewing gallery.
9. To keep a copy of the Client’s edited wedding gallery for 12 months after the wedding date. After this time hard drives will be wiped and data will be erased.

PLEASE BACK UP YOUR WEDDING GALLERY TO A HARD DRIVE OR CLOUD.



Client obligations:
10. To state clearly to the Photographer any changes to the details set out in the booking form within reasonable time.
11. Where the client’s number of guests exceeds 90 people, understands that it is essential to book a second photographer. Please see ‘Second Photographer’ document or website for further information.
12. To make the final payment to the Photographer no later than 12 weeks prior to the Wedding Date.
13. To pay the Photographer for all costs invoiced by the Photographer including travel, accommodation, and parking in addition to all other reasonable and customary costs in order to complete this stated contract.
14. To provide a meal for the Photographer (and second shooter, if required) if the length of attendance exceeds five hours or more, alternatively the Photographer will be provided with enough time to take a refreshment break. NB If providing a meal please be aware that there are specific dietary requirements.
15. To assist and cooperate with the Photographer in gaining the requested photographs in line with the Client’s expectations, by specifying the parties and location to be photographed and assisting the Photographer in posing at the Photographer’s direction etc. The Photographer is not responsible for photographs that are not taken due to the Client’s failure to be cooperative and to provide reasonable assistance.
16. The Photographer will not be held responsible for any damage made to either parties clothing and/or accessories during any photographic period. For example, if the Client chooses to have their photos taken in a particular location which may involve walking through fields etc and the area is wet and/or dirty the Photographer will not be held responsible should any damage that may occur.
17. To ensure in the pre-wedding consultation that the Photographer is informed of key events which the client wishes to be photographed, for example, cake cutting, bouquet throwing etc. The Photographer will not be held responsible for not photographing such events if they have not been informed of them in a timely manner.
18. To make themselves aware of the rules of photography for the venue/s concerned and if necessary, negotiate with the personnel concerned.
19. In the event that the Photographer is limited by rules imposed by registrars, ministers and venue management as to what can and cannot be done, the Clients agree to accept the technical limitations that may be imposed on the equipment used. For example, insistence that no flash photography is allowed, that the Photographers shoot from a specific location, or none at all.



20. To grant the Photographer and its legal representatives, and employees, the irrevocable and unlimited consent to use the photographs of the Clients for editorial, competition, advertising and any other purpose and in any manner. Additionally, to alter the photographs without restriction; and to copyright the images. The Clients hereby release the Photographer and its legal representatives and employees from all liability and claims in connection with the images.
21. To adhere to the cancellation policy set in this annex. In the event of a cancellation requested by the Client for at any time and for any reason after booking, the Booking Fee/ Deposit is non-refundable. It will be considered as liquidated damages to the Photographer.
22. To agree that occasionally the photographers associate may stand in place to photograph the client’s wedding day. The photographer will edit and deliver in the style and calibre to what is seen on the photographer’s website and blog. The photographer’s associate is at a similar skill level and style.
23. To agree that the work delivered will be of a similar style and calibre to those photographs on The Photographer’s website and blog, and that the photographer will have complete creative control during the photographs and in post-processing. The images will be delivered in JPEG format with a mix of colour and black and white images, and deemed appropriate by the photographer. No re-editing will be done after the final edited copies are presented to the clients. NB If re-editing is requested by the clients, the photographer is able to charge an appropriate amount for the extra work that will take place.
24. To agree that the photographer can only capture the wedding that happens: weather, location, schedule complications, time restraints and subject’s ability to cooperate, are all factors in the quality of the photographs. The photographer will not edit for physical size, hair, nor any other physical appearance issue other than blemishes.
25. In the event of a cancellation requested by the Client for at any time and for any reason after booking, the Booking Fee/ Deposit is non-refundable. It will be considered as liquidated damages to the Photographer.
26. If cancellation is requested within 12 weeks of the specified Date, 100% of the Photographer’s fee will be retained. An invoice will be provided for the Client’s insurers.
